It is important to acknowledge areas of life which need improvement. It’s different for all of us. In order to improve and grow which creates more balance as well as momentum and strength.

When a skyscraper is built there are many months of work going on in the foundation of the building, construction would not start from the top of the building first! We’re the same, in order to live an extraordinary life we must take the time to balance our daily lives.

Physical Body:  While we’re all aware of the importance of health today, we tend to allow our outside forces control how we manage health…I don’t have the time my boss is expecting this report and I’m going to work late to get it done…The kids need to get to soccer…I am tired when I get home from work. No doubt all real challenges. Consider a time during the day when you can get a little exercise, could be parking your car at the end of the parking lot at work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator (always consult your doctor first) Go to the gym before you go home, or walking before you eat dinner. There are many ways to incorporate a little exercise into your day, make it fun!

Emotions and Meaning: There will always be issues which influence how we react and how we feel, but do issues control how we feel? truth is we are in control of how we feel and what it means to us. Outside forces are just that a condition beyond our control, if we can reconize how it controls our emotions and how it can impact our life we can begin to control our emotions and channel our energy into other areas of life!

Relationships: The first relationship to have is with yourself, how do you treat you! If you are negative and always looking for that which is bad, how do you thing your relationship with other people will be? Do you focus on other people before yourself? Not to mean it’s all about you! Having a good relationship with self helps you to have meaninful relationships with other people. If you love yourself you’ll be able to love others.

Time: Then there’s always the time issue, it is a real issue in today’s fast pace society, whether you work for yourself or work for a company most of us are working longer hours with less time off. Time away from the office is as important as time in the office. Most companies today fail to understand the importance of time away. But it’s not just at the office, there are time issues at home as well, always something to do and little time to get it all done. Plan out the day figure out which task is the most important and schedule it, write it down, balance the time between work as well as personal business.

Career and Mission: Today it’s much harder to get ahead, companies are working on a tight budget, rising costs associated with business and changing global market. This doesen’t mean you need to just settle for what ever job you can get. Or not qualify for that promotion. Each one of us has a unique skill the world needs, the mistake we sometimes fall into is doing a job that pays the most money regardless of what it may be. If you had the choice what type of work would you do? what makes you feel happy and fulfilled? Begin to focus on how to make your dream come true. Additional school or training, etc.

Finances: No matter who you talk to today there seems to never be enough money to go around right? every time you turn around products and services cost more, just look at health care these days! it’s never ending. We can’t control prices but we can control our individual budgets. Do you have a budget? is it written down? do you have an investment budget? if the answer is no, begin to write down all expenses for the month that way you’ll have a clear picture where you stand financially each month! if there is and area that need attention you can be proactive and not reactive. You’ll have less stress in the long run.

Contribution and Spirituaity: The secret in living is giving. When you give value the universe rewards you, it’s different for all of us what we do, just take note when you give of yourself your sending love and compassion to the world. It’s not expcted to be rewarded just the act of giving knowing you did your best to improve another persons life. We all need to spend time each day to connect with our spirtual side of life, a quite time to let external influences take control of our actions. Give thanks for the life your creator has given you, realize your here on earth for a reason and a purpose there’s a greater good to serve.

This week take note of these seven areas of life and begin to focus on what one might need attention. If you and I are going to live an extraordinary life we must first know where we are and where we want to be!
